Johanna places a strong emphasis on your responsibility to be an active participant in your health journey. Physical Therapy (PT) is more than recovering from injury or illness. In working with Johanna, you will learn tools and methods to maximize your body’s potential and improve your quality of life. Yoga has many interpretations; but effectively, works through synthesis of body, mind, and soul, to create a pleasant internal environment. Johanna works to bring together these two complementary worlds of PT and yoga, guiding you to shift your life in a positive direction. She collaborates with and empowers you, as the client, to design a plan of care to fit your goals and lifestyle.
After graduating high school, Johanna took a hiatus from formal education. During these years, she traveled extensively, immersing deeply in other cultures. These formative years led to a strong sense of integrity, appreciation for diversity, and a solid foundation on which to build her education. Fueled by enthusiasm to help others, Johanna graduated from Colorado State University, summa cum laude, with a BS in Sport Medicine. She went on to complete her Doctorate of Physical Therapy at University of Colorado. Johanna has always been passionate about movement, participating in a wide variety of recreational sports and activities. In 2019, Johanna found yoga… or really, it found her. Realizing that yoga was far more than a physical practice, she enrolled in RYT-200 level training, to deepen her understanding of yogic philosophies and lifestyle. She then completed the RYT-500 hour Ayurvedic Science and Yoga program through ZenSpot to continue on her life-long path of learning. As she continues down her own scenic route of discovery and exploration, she would love to work with you, on finding yours.
